Designer Indhira Rojas has developed a conceptual database called IndexR that tracks consumption and helps people to manage and recycle waste efficiently. Quite often, consumers don’t really know what to do with the waste that is produced or left over from the stuff they buy and how to properly recycle it. The IndexR service intends to engage buyers, product manufacturers and retailers to mine shopping data from stores to present it to consumers, offering them insight into how frequently they buy certain items and educating them on proper waste disposal.
