A Dutch team creates a series of episodes that reflect how artists kill time.

Artistic individuals typically churn out a substantial amount of output when driven by inspiration, but when the spirit escapes them, procrastination is almost always sure to set in. To reflect this particular situation, Dutch team Lernert & Sand created 11 minimalist episodes that represent the varying styles of procrastination that artists engage with when the spirit escapes them.

Each of the series’ 11 minimalist episodes finds a writer, artist, or filmmaker talking about how he or she procrastinates. The interviews are paired solely with a simple photo, against a white background, representing the distractions the subject mentions — a cigarette balanced on a glass of wine, a record player rigged to resemble a Spirograph, even a gang of snails spread out across a desk.
