The weekend retreat designed by Rockefeller Partner Architects can double up as a work studio.

The Banyan Drive Treehouse is a recreational getaway that also doubles up as an office and studio. Designed by Rockefeller Partner Architects for one of its clients, the treehouse measures a mere 170 square feet and is perched twelve feet off the ground in the backyard of the owner's residence. The space looks deceivingly modest from outside but once inside, this micro house reveals all the essentials for a weekend escape-a living area with couches, a studio with a corner desk and a toilet.
