Traditionally regarded as an illegal alcoholic beverage that dates at least as far back as the Prohibition days, moonshine now finds its first taste of legality with a recent state law in Tennessee allowing the distillation of spirits. Ole Smoky celebrates this acknowledgement of an otherwise hidden 200-year-old heritage by unveiling “Ole Smoky Mountain Moonshine,” branded as the ‘first legal moonshine in Tennessee’ due to it being the first federally licensed distillery in the history of East Tennessee. With a homemade look and a unique package design, Ole Smoky perfectly captures the rugged spirit of mountain-made whiskey for everyone to enjoy.
