The Cyclotrope is a project by Tim Wheatley, created as part of his digital animation degree program at the University College Falmouth in Cornwall. His idea takes its inspiration from early methods of displaying motion pictures such as the Zoetrope and Praxinoscope. The Cyclotrope, (with its clever play on words) is a wheel containing eighteen images spun at a certain speed, creating the illusion of animation. Watch below:
