It is perhaps every company’s dream to be listed and acknowledged as an innovative company; the question always seems to be revolving around how to go about being innovative.

Looking at Fortune Magazine’s ranking, begs the question of what exactly makes us value and admire a company for being innovative. For example, Fortune ranked Exxon Mobil and Charles Schwab in the Top Ten of ‘Best in Innovation’. What are these companies doing that is so different than their competitors? What compels us to admire them?
