Andy Warhol Statue In New York’s Union Square [Pics]
The PSFK team took a recent visit and even on the gloomiest of rainy April day, the chrome Warhol managed to bring a silver lining to our day.
A new statue has been unveiled on the northwest corner of New York’s Union Square just yards from where the subject’s workshops used to be. Pop artist Andy Warhol used to run his Factory art works from the Decker Building at 33 Union Square West and in the building at 860 Broadway, which now houses a Petco. Recently New York officials erected a 10-foot-tall sculpture carrying a Bloomingdale’s bag created by Rob Pruitt.
