Coca-Cola Celebrates Spainish Heritage With Custom Packaging [Pics]
A beautiful, illustrated and localized example of product packaging serving as a desirable (and collectable) piece of marketing.
Coca-Cola commissioned Barcelona illustrator Ivan Bravo and branding firm Branward to design can designs commemorating some of the most recognizable monuments in Catalan region of Spain. Perhaps not surprisingly, the monuments include two of Catalan’s beloved ‘son’ – Gaudí’s – buildings: Batlló house and the unfinished Sagrada Familia. They also include Colón’s statue and Empúries’ ruins.
We love the can designs for their visual, graphic beauty – and for the more local (and collectible) flavor they offer to an area rich with art history. Additional images are featured below.
