Desert lodges in Jordan delve deep into the connection between man and his natural environment.

The Florida-based Oppenheim Architecture and Design group released images of its competition winning design for desert lodges in Wadi Rum, Jordan. Paramount to the concept is its interaction with the area’s natural landscape. Geometric cut outs integrate its architecture within the mountain’s existing fault lines, incorporating the grand, natural space afforded by nature alone. Its raw, but luxurious lodging offers a rare geological history of the region, connecting man with his past and present environments.
