‘Oneironautics: A Field Guide to Lucid Dreaming’ is a featured project currently on Kickstarter, and one driven to provide every sleeping beauty with a manual to further explore ‘the experience of being consciously awake but in a dream.’ Eager to raise funds to produce a 160 page book, the writers, aim to provide all the necessary information to teach you how to control the inner corners of your dreams which can unlock insight into our conscious mental states.  Better considered as a version of virtual reality, one that you can navigate, the book could have profound impacts for creative individuals.  The notion of ‘it came to me in a dream’ could be applicable on an everyday basis – some of the world’s greatest paintings, musical compositions, stores and even scientific discoveries from thousands of years have been rooted in the creators’ dreams.  With lucid dreaming allowing for infinite adventures where you are the maestro, the Oneironautics guide could push boundaries to provide better clarity on everyday thought behavior and idea development. They plan to produce a companion website and use Twitter and Facebook to build community and allow users to share their insight.
