Finland’s ZenRobotics’ Recycler uses artificial intelligence and sensors to monitor a conveyor belt – targeting and picking out objects that are recyclable. Items that aren’t useable stay on the belt and are discharged. The system can be trained to identify materials such as plastics, pipes, cables, batteries, light bulbs as well as stone, concrete, brick and wood.
