In a remarkable new commercial developed by Anomaly and shot by HSI Productions‘s Michael Haussman, Budweiser positions itself as the beer brand concerned with ‘serving those who serve.' Playing to an audience of both those currently enlisted and their family and friends, the split-screen TV ad shows both sides of the story after a soldier calls to say he is returning home. As he makes his journey on different forms of transport and scored with Dan Auerbach's 2008 single “Coming Home,” his friends and family organize a welcome home party for him, complete with bottles of ice-cold Budweiser and harnessing a strong theme of Americana.
