Nintendo 3DS Augmented Reality Tattoo
A fan gets a tattoo of the AR card on his arm that can be read by the Nintendo 3DS.
The first thing cranberryzero of I Heart Chaos thought when he bought his Nintendo 3DS was that the AR card would make a great tattoo. So he went out and got the “?” design at Blue Flame Tattoo in Raleigh, NC. The 3DS cameras recognize the tattoo on his forearm, so he can use it to play the augmented reality games (see the video below) and can have his Mii appear in front of him. The tattoo needs some refinement as it doesn’t work in bright sunshine but apart from that it works the same as the AR cards provided with the new Nintendo hand-held console. It’s a cool idea, although maybe someone could make it into a temporary tattoo instead of this permanent option.
