The latest iteration of the Call of Duty franchise, 'Call of Duty: Elite,' combines the connective logic that powers Facebook with its popular game.


Activision, the publishers of the record-breaking Call of Duty video game series, have announced that a social network and multiplayer subscription service called Call of Duty: Elite will launch on November 8th. The official site splits up its features into three areas: Connect, Compete and Improve. You can connect with online friends or meet new Call of Duty players, take part in tournaments for virtual and real prizes, access personal stats, strategy videos and info on maps, weapons, etc. Eric Hirshberg, the CEO of Activision, said:
