Consmr is a ranking site for consumer-packaged goods using data gathered from consumer reviews, blogs, and a handful of editorial publications. It was created by former head of mobile at Zagat, Ryan Charles, and software developer Noah Zitsman, both of whom are driven by a vision of a future where shoppers will have a wealth of information at their fingertips to make intelligent shopping decisions in-store.

While it is not yet an app, Consmr is a promising platform serving a functional benefit with an added gaming layer where users collect Pieces of Flair (supplied by advertisers) for submitting reviews and amassing a following. Much like popular geo-based sites, Consmr users check-in to products they are using and get rewarded for sharing their opinions.
