Food critic offers consumers analysis and criticism of restaurant deals that aren't as good as they seem.

Bloomberg food critic Ryan Sutton has launched a tumblr called The Bad Deal, which publicizes bad deals on coupon sites such as Groupon, Gilt, Living Social and Savored so consumers don't waste their money. Due to the growing popularity of these sites, Sutton believes there should be ‘deal critics' who bring to people's attention deals that are missold, false or not worth purchasing. In his first post he writes:

Just as social coupon sites sometimes champion dubious restaurants with dubious offers, The Bad Deal will offer consumers a moment of pause with fast and furious analysis.
