Because there are so many new apps appearing, it's hard for news media to get people excited for another emerging app.

A friend with a startup was talking to a major American TV news show about them doing a segment on his app. After a bit of back and forth about the story, they got back with their response: “We don’t want stories about apps anymore – apps are over.”
