Sony reveals the highly anticipated successor to the PlayStation Portable at the recent E3 Gaming Expo in Los Angeles.

At the recent E3 Gaming Expo in Los Angeles, Sony revealed the final name and price of their latest handheld console: The Playstation Vita, priced at US$249 for the WiFi model and $299 for the 3G/Wi-Fi model.

The highly anticipated successor to the PlayStation Portable 3000 features dual touch pads, dual cameras, an OLED screen, GPS, six-axis motion sensors and a three-axis electronic compass. From Kotaku:

Vita means life,” said Sony Computer Entertainment Kazuo Hirai, adding that the Vita will “blur the lines” between entertainment and real life, allowing you to connect and interact like never before.
