Superman Gets New Costume In Action Comics Relaunch

Superman gets a costume change sans the red trunks in the upcoming Action Comics relaunch.

After announcing a historic renumbering of their entire line of comic books, DC comics has revealed Superman’s new look (pictured on the right): a skin-tight blue suit, red belt and boots, and without the iconic red trunks he had been wearing since the first issue of “Action Comics,” published in June 1938. This refreshing new treatment on the Man Of Steel is part of a large initiative to inject new life to the series as noteworthy Scottish writer Grant Morrison and artist Ralph Morales starts the series over with Action Comics #1.

New treatments of Superman, along with other characters in the Man Of Steel Universe such as Superboy and Supergirl, can be seen below:
