Photographs of the fun park in Louisiana that has been derelict since Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

The Six Flags amusement park in New Orleans was closed in advance of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, which caused flooding and devastated the 140-acre site. Six years later it remains derelict, like the Pacific Playland out of the movie Zombieland, eerie and abandoned. Rusty rides, crumbling buildings and graffiti are evident throughout the park. Plans to tranform it into a Nickelodeon water park haven’t yet come to pass.
