New data reveals the most checked-in places and compares this to Foursquare's figures.

Social media marketing platform Wildfire Interactive has released information about Facebook's most popular places. Since the check-in service was launched last August, it has been competing with location-based rivals such as Foursquare for the top spot. Despite Facebook itself boasting 700 million users, Facebook Places is being used by far fewer people, and Foursquare recently announced that it has doubled its users since the launch of Facebook Places.
