PSFK App Demo: Autodesk’s 123D Sculpt

PSFK takes you on a video walkthrough of Autodesk's new 3D sculpting app for the iPad.

123D Sculpt is a 3D deformable modeling application that allows users to ‘sculpt,’ color and texture preloaded 3D models using just their fingertips. Users begin by choosing a shape from the app’s library of 3D models, which include animals, humans, vehicles and basic shapes. From there, users shape and manipulate their model using a variety of sculpting and coloring tools from the app’s dropdown menu.

Further, the app allows users to personalize their creations by giving them the ability to texture the 3D models with photos imported directly from their iPad’s photo library. Autodesk recently stopped by the PSFK offices to demo the product for us, check out the video below:

For the time being, 123D Sculpt is available for free at the app store.
