The Berlin-based start-up Readmill aims to enable those who read on mobile devices to easily share and recommend their books. An API allows developers to add social features to their ebook readers and book apps. This lets users share data about what they read and recommend books. The Readmill iPad app has a selection of mainly public domain titles at the moment. As you read, your profile keeps track of your progress and the time you’ve spent reading, and allows you to discuss books with others on the comment thread.
