UK-based digital marketing and communications firm Code Computerlove developed a gestural solution for customers to explore a store’s inventory while standing outside its retail front. Requiring only body motion, the prototype enables users to browse through an entire store’s selection with a swipe of their hand, view sizes and colors, and retrieve detailed information tailored to their selection without ever stepping inside of the store. This technology allows retailers to quickly update their digital signage based on current weather conditions, and further advances open the door for tailored recommendations based on shopper recognition.
