Organizing With Felt And Velcro
A new storage solution is debuted in Berlin, reimagines interior space using removable parts.
The young South Korean designers of Euljiro Studios must have lost some pounds during their exhibition at the International Design Festival in Berlin, because their installation involved energetically demonstrating their ‘self organizing unit’ by continuously running around moving velcro attached units along felted walls. Their goal is to utilize space in a simple easy-to-use way. Who needs shelves on a wall? Who needs heavy tools? The designers also demonstrated that the combination of felt and velcro could carry various items like magazines, noteblocks and bundles of pens.
