PETA has confirmed that they will be launching a porn site that will feature erotic photography along with graphic content of animal abuse. The site PETA.xxx will focus on raising awareness about veganism and unethical treatment of animals in factory farms. Representatives of PETA feel that an adult site will be an effective way to reach a male audience. PETA spokeswoman, Lindsay Rajt, states that:

We really want to grab people’s attention, get them talking and to question the status quo and ultimately take action, because the best way we can help the greatest number of animals is simply by not eating them.

It’s not the first time that PETA has created an eyebrow raising campaign. The animal rights group is known for their memorable and sometimes controversial campaigns, such as its current advertisement that features various celebrities posing nude with the byline: I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur. This campaign already features adult film stars Sasha Grey, Ron Jeremy and Jenna Jameson.
