The manufacturer announces the ultraportable, high performance Razer Blade.

Razer, best known for its selection of high-end mice, keyboards and headsets, has moved into the field of gaming laptops with the Razer Blade. This ultraportable laptop has a lightweight aluminum construction and is less than an inch thick, making it the thinnest 17-inch gaming laptop available. It features a 2.8GHz Intel® Core™ i7 2640M Processor, 8GB of DDR3- 1333 RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce® GT 555M graphics card.

There is also a new feature called the “Switchblade” interface, which is comprised of 10 dynamic adaptive tactile keys for easier access of in-game commands. The LCD is capable of either displaying in-game information when a mouse is in use or functioning as an ultra-sensitive, multi-touch panel for gaming on the go. The only thing likely to put-off gamers is the steep price tag of $2800.
