PSFK visits a New York thrift shop for their circus-themed third birthday party.

Recently, we wandered into Cure Thrift Shop, an amazing little thrift shop on East 12th St in New York's East Village. As we were perusing the isles of quirky vintage merchandise, the friendly staff let it drop that they would be throwing a spectacular circus-themed party with their friends and customers, which was held last night.

The party was to celebrate the shop’s third year in business, with all proceeds going towards the Diabetes Research Institute. By the time we arrived, a large crowd had already gathered on the sidewalk, excitedly waiting for the doors to bust open. Inside, the store was primed for the occasion with balloons galore, staff and mannequins dressed in circus attire, a bar, and a table of delectable party foods straight off the midway, including cupcakes, popcorn and cotton candy.
