The Apple and Starbucks partnership extends to providing codes for one paid app a week, enabling customers to download it for free.

Starbucks and Apple's “Pick of the Week” cards, which used to offer a free music track from iTunes, are now providing customers with a free app for their iPhone. The cards, available with a purchase, have codes on the back that can be entered into the App Store to receive a paid app for free.

The first app to be offered as part of this promotion is Shazam Encore, which can identify the song that is playing and display synced lyrics. The app is usually priced at $5.99, so it's a good deal to grab with your coffee.
