An impressive Foursquare hack automatically changes the user's profile photo depending on where the user is.

PlaceFace is a new Foursquare hack that displays a different user profile pic depending on where the user is. The hack asks users to select eight different profile photos for each of the Foursquare categories such as ‘Shopping,’ ‘Food,’ ‘Education’ and ‘Travel’. Then, when the user checks into a location, the app will change the user’s Foursquare profile photo to match the venue’s category.

PlaceFace is created by Jason Pope and Jonathan Wegener. The hack came third place in the Foursquare Hack Day, a weekend-long event held in New York, USA. Wegener hopes to add more of Foursquare’s 364 different categories, including ‘Burrito’.
