If you’ve never experienced the exhilaration of running a marathon, here’s an opportunity to see what it’s actually like. To coincide with this week’s Berlin Marathon, Adidas launched Das Angesicht des Marathons (translated as The Face of the Marathon) where fifteen runners of varying experience levels, including the legendary Haile Gebrselassie were filmed while running. A minute by minute sweat-filled account of the race is captured with head-mounted Go Pro cameras, watch how each runner’s facial expression changes throughout.

On the website, click on each runner to view their profile, stats, video interview, as well as the trek in real-time as it was run. It’s a genuinely, inspirational portrait of everyday marathon athletes since these are their faces through all the joy and pain.
