Facebook Subscription feature will allow users to see updates from strangers and also select specific updates they want to receive from friends.

Facebook is rolling out a new feature that will allow you to ‘subscribe’ to certain updates from friends and even strangers. Facebook Subscriptions acts almost like Twitter and Google+. Instead of following someone or adding them to a circle, you can simply subscribe to random strangers and have their updates appear on your News Feed without being their friend. Of course, you can only see what the other person is willing to share publicly.
