The American auto company introduced their E-Bike Concept at the Frankfurt Auto Show.

Ford Motor Company recently revealed its E-Bike Concept at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Ford’s interest in E-Bikes is an indication of its expectations about future transport modes, and allows the company to showcase its design as well as its electric mobility capabilities. The bike is designed for both men and women and will be equipped with a lightweight (5.5 pounds) lithium-ion battery. The bike will have a range of 85-km per charge making it both economical and comfortable. The aluminum and carbon fiber battery will be concealed in the frame. Ford has incorporated ‘magneorestrictive' sensors that can activate and deactivate the motor within a fraction of a second. Production schedules are not yet planned for the near future.
