HTC Targets Fashionable Customers With Purple-Colored Smartphones

HTC attempts to enter a new market segments with its new Rhyme smartphone that sports a stylish purple design and novelty accessories.

HTC is a smartphone producer based in Taiwan that has become well-known globally. The company has been lauded for its cutting-edge technology rather than stylish designs, but that’s about to change. With its new Rhyme smartphone hitting the shelves in the U.S. on 29 September, HTC attempts to attract a new target group: young and fashion-concious consumers. The Rhyme will initially be available in three shades of purple with more colors being introduced in the future. The smartphone will also be bundled with three novelty accessories, including a wireless docking station, a purple wireless headset and a ‘charm’ that can be tied to a handbag to signal incoming calls.
