Hewlett Packard (HP) will release a new series of all-in-one scanners and laser jet printers that will be capable of scanning 3D objects to produce studio-like images. The Topshot series is aimed at small businesses that are required to take high-quality photos of their products. The HP Topshot scans 3D objects by taking photos from three different angles with two different exposure levels (ambient light and studio light). The six photos are combined together into one image to create a professional product shot.

The scanned images can be shared and uploaded instantly, and the HP Topshot can also integrate with Google Docs, cloud apps as well as ePrint and AirPrint functions. The retail price for the HP Topshot Laserjet Pro M275 will be around $350. No official release date has yet been confirmed.
