Rent By The Day iPads Aimed At Travelers

A mobile electronics rental service in New York makes it easy for individuals and travelers to rent devices, such as the iPad, by the day.

Flying Connected offers iPads that can be rented by the day to individuals, targeting at mainly travelers. Apple’s iPad 2 can be rented for $18 to $28 per day, depending on the insurance package, accessories and pre-loaded media. For a small fee, the tablet can be easily delivered to an airport or hotel in New York City.

Flying Connected, a New York-based electronics rental company, aims to make it more convenient for customers to rent devices to take on their trips. Mobile devices include tablets, laptops, cell phones, GPS navigation and mobile broadband. Founder Zalmy Raskin explained on why travelers would find his mobile electronics rental service useful:

Even if you have [the mobile device] with you, there’s always the frustration of when you turn it on you can’t use it without roaming charges. You’re on pay phones. It’s frustrating.
