Ubox is a vending machine company based in China that allows users to pay for its dispensable items with their mobile phone. The customer simply needs to download the Ubox app on their smartphone and top up their account with Alipay or a UnionPay card. When the customer wants to make a purchase, all they need to do is enter the ID number of the Ubox vending machine and then press the start button.

Not only has there been a recent trend when it comes to innovative vending machines, such as this one that dispenses luxury products, but there has also been a shift in using mobile phones as a convenient payment tool. For example, SHOPBOX where you can make a purchase by simply text messaging, or the Square Card Case where you can pay with just a phone and your name.
