Ford will supply its vehicles to Zipcar locations at over 250 campuses in the U.S.

Ford and Zipcar have announced a two-year partnership that will make the automaker the largest source for Zipcar U, the university program that offers short-term car rentals to students across America. More than 250 college and university campuses will be supplied with Ford Focus sedans and Escape SUVs.

Ford is also offering discounts for the service as an added incentive: the first 100,000 students to sign up will get $10 off the $35 annual fee, and $1 will be taken off the hourly rate for the first million hours of use on any of the Ford cars. Ford is hoping that those young drivers who rent a car using this program will consider choosing one of their vehicles in the future when they come to buy a car.
