The National Hockey League’s Los Angeles Kings is implementing gaming mechanics into its website and social networks which reward fans for their loyalty and interaction with the brand online. Utilizing Bunchball‘s Nitro ‘gamification’ platform, the King’s “The United Kings Family” rewards fans with points for watching highlight videos, posting to the Kings’ website, and sharing the team’s news on their social networks. Users engaging the brand will earn online badges and trophies, which unlock exclusive rewards such as signed merchandise, behind-the-scenes videos, and private arena tours. Bunchball’s Nitro gamification platform offers powerful analytics solution, to create customized, actionable and scalable user experiences for consumers, employees and partners.

In anticipation to PSFK’s upcoming Future Of Gaming report, we will be previewing a number of examples which reflect innovation in gaming.
