‘Opposites’ Posters Get To The Core Of Brand Design
Students create a series of posters that capture the essence of trademark design in a class hosted by Chermayeff & Geismar.
Currently, School of Visual Arts is offering a design course both created and hosted by major design firm Chermayeff & Geismar. The class, Visual Identity and Multimedia is taught by firm partners Sagi Haviv, Ivan Chermayeff, and Tom Geismar. Besides doing actual client based work, projects ranged from appropriated classic Hollywood movie posters to ‘opposites’ images. For the Opposites assignment students were tasked with taking two issues or ideas that were diametrically opposed and juxtaposing them in a distinguishable way.
