The team from the U.S. television series, Portlandia, finds out what happens when technology starts to overtake your life. In this short skit titled Technology Loop, Carrie Brownstein walks in to discover Fred Armisen frantically checking his computer, texting, reading on his iPad, streaming videos and being consumed by technology. Fred is stuck in some kind of autopilot mode and whispers to Carrie to help him. To assist, Carrie activates ‘Mind-Fi’ that allows the two to communicate telepathically. However, this technology backfires and fails, leaving Fred ‘shutting down.’

Portlandia made its debut earlier this year on the Independent Film Channel (IFC). The show follows a hipster couple who lives in Portland.
