SocialSamba aims to boost marketing by giving people a personalized connection to the series and films they watch.

SocialSamba is a new service that offers scripted social networking for brands, storytellers and celebrities. It lets fans “friend” their favorite characters from TV shows and movies, interact with them and take part in interactive mysteries and experiences related to their story through posts, images and videos.

For SocialSamba’s launch, two USA Network shows and a Warner Bros film have used its technology. Dolphin Tale had a three-day marine rescue experience live on Facebook during the summer, Covert Affairs let fans into the C.I.A.’s top secret training facility The Farm, and Psych has just started an interactive murder mystery called the Hashtag Killer. SocialSamba’s co-founder and CEO Aaron Williams said:
