Steve Powers revitalizes downtown New York with street art.

Well-known graffiti artist Steve Powers, a.k.a. ESPO, is part of a street art project that has been painting ‘Love Letters' in cities around the U.S. Recently, he covered a former Macy's parking lot in Brooklyn, New York, with words of encouragement and inspiration to the community. Phrases included: “I am made to leave I am made to return”, “I see eternity” and “Onward Upward”.

The Love Letter project started in Philadelphia in 2009 where Powers painted a series of murals that ran along an elevated train line. Powers explained to the media that:
