American families are more likely to spend most of their annual earnings on housing, according to a recent study by the US Department of Labor.

The US Department of Labor recently showcased an interesting infographic that depicts the relative breakdown of expenses of a typical American family. According to the infographic, American families tend to spend most of their annual expenses on housing (34.43%), followed by food (12.99%), insurance pensions (11.15%), entertainment, (5.49%), and health care (6.47%), among others.
