Community Collection is an online store that stocks boutique fashion labels and high-fashion brands. However, what makes this online retailer stand out, is that 20 percent of all purchases are donated to a charitable cause.

Each designer is paired with a Charity Campaign and when a shopper purchases something within the collection, 20 percent of the retail price goes towards projects set up by not-for-profit organizations such as WWF, American Cancer Society, Surfrider and Partners in Health.

What’s more, everything is transparent so shoppers can track projects funded and receive ongoing updates to see how their contribution is making an impact.

Combining retail consumer goods with charity isn’t a new concept. Previously featured on PSFK is retail brand TOMS, where for every shoe purchased, a pair is also donated to someone in a developing country. Currently, more than 1 million pairs of shoes have been distributed to those in need in over 20 countries.
