It is important for businesses to embrace digital and social media in order to reach consumers as technology is everywhere in society today. PepsiCo’s director of digital and social media, Bonin Bough, believes organizations need to be “digitally fit” and employees should be educated about new technologies. The company’s new digital fitness bootcamp aims to do just that.

According to AdAge, PepsiCo has created the bootcamp to train everyone from executives to the finance and legal teams, PR and sales officers, in aspects of digital marketing. The program includes online classes and experiential sessions demonstrating how consumers and competitors use new technology. Bonin Bough plans to conduct classroom training for various internal groups in the future. He said:
