The PSFK Consulting team have recently reviewed the report that we developed for the United Nations Global Pulse team and added fresh examples. The Future of Real-Time Information report that was first published in early 2011 looked at how social media and other connected technologies allowed people, communities, organizations and governments to monitor for signs of change that would warrant immediate investigation. These digital tools allow for the reception of ‘good enough’ signals of crisis and distress across geographies.
