Real Estate Agencies Make Videos To Sell Communities, Not Just Properties

Real estate agents are turning to a number of new marketing strategies in order to sell a house in todays economic climate. The Star-Ledger reports that realtor Sharon Steele creates a series of 90-second videos featuring small business owners as part of an effort to sell not just the houses but the community itself. Steele said:

You can’t just market a property anymore. You really have to market the lifestyle and the town and the vibrancy, and why this town is more special than another town.

Steele’s projects have caused her business to sky-rocket and she is expanding to other areas in the future. The videos are posted to her YouTube channel and the “Communities” page of her website, where she publishes information about the local area including schools, attractions and train schedules.

Real estate agencies are using lots of new techniques to make their houses stand out from the crowd. Professional photographers are hired to shoot as many pictures of the house as possible, there are virtual tours, separate websites for houses, SEO techniques, Facebook pages, and QR codes on property flyers.
