Volkswagen Uses Facebook For Nostalgic Golf GTI Launch

The car company has created a campaign with a 'Back to the Future' feel to celebrate its upcoming 35th anniversary.

Volkswagen UK is celebrating the 35 anniversary of their famous Golf GTI with a Back to the Future themed Facebook campaign that includes historic footage. The major car manufacturer is using the social media giant to chronicle a time travelling anniversary vehicle, the new Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35, in a series of viral video posts. The first of which includes a live audience witnessing the magical disappearance of the the new vehicle as it leaves behind Back to the Future’s famous flaming fire tracks.
