Project Imagin8ion, is the first ever photo competition to inspire a Hollywood short film. Almost 100,000 photos were submitted to the competition and judge and Hollywood producer, Ron Howard, selected the top eight winners — each representing a principal tenet of story telling: setting, time, character, mood — around which to base the short film.
The final result, When You Find Me, debuted today (Dec. 16th) at noon, and will be available to view until December 19th. The film, was produced by Ron Howard and directed by actress Bryce Dallas Howard.
Howard says of the film:
Canon tasked me with a true creative experiment and the end result is a beautiful film directed by Bryce that captures the images and inspiration of the eight photographers. After the New York premiere at the American Museum of Natural History last month, it was really gratifying to see people get emotional about the film and I’m thrilled that the online community will now have the opportunity to see it.
